As a commercial photographer for over 20 years, I’ve seen the inside of dozens of location vehicles from Maine to San Diego, Miami to Seattle. While on a photoshoot during the summer of 2020 I realized the need and importance of a clean, comfortable, and efficient Covid prepared location vehicle in the Rocky Mountain Region. With that unique perspective I set out to create the greatest location production vehicle of all time and Base Camp was born.

After the success of the Colorado unit, I asked several producers and national location managers if there were any US regions that were underserved by location vehicles. The resounding answer was “Northern California!”, and in 2024 Base Camp West was set in motion.

Not content with a musty old RV that would simply “do the job”, I completely overhauled two luxury Toy-Hauler style RV’s to provide the safest, most comfortable, and most convenient work environment possible for film, video, and photo productions. With over 100 gallons of fresh, filtered water and 48 hours of 120v power, Base Camp is completely self sufficient for several days and ideal for remote locations, year round.
